SOLIHULL Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a ‘bag dipper’ who stole an elderly woman’s purse.
The theft happened in Hobs Moat Road, in Solihull on Monday, October 12 between 1.40pm and 1.45pm.
Police said: “The suspect approached the victim and asked her for a face mask, before offering to carry her bags.
“She then reached into the elderly woman’s bag, took her purse and pushed her before running off and getting on a bus in the direction of Solihull town centre.”
Anyone who has any information about the thief or who recognises her from the CCTV stills is urged to ring police on 101.
