A PLEA has been issued to reunite a child with vital medical supplies after it was allegedly stolen from a family car.

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal after a grey Ford Focus containing medical equipment for a child was reportedly stolen from Homer Road, Solihull.

The force say the owner was inside the nearby Waitrose store when the car was taken just after 6pm on Spetember 2.

The appeal has just been made public.

On X, formerly Twitter, Solihull Police said: “The car contained splints and other medical equipment for a child.

“We’re asking for whoever is responsible to do the decent thing and get in touch with us to return the car, and the equipment, which is very important to the child’s wellbeing.”

Anyone with information should contact police by calling 101 or via Live Chat on the police’s website and quote crime number 20/765885/23.
