GREEN-FINGERED pupils and care home residents joined forces to plant sunflower seeds.
Morris Minors after school club headed to Fountains care home in Shirley for an afternoon of intergenerational socialising.
Louise Crooks, activities coordinator at care home, said “We’ve all had such a brilliant time with the children, they were so delightful, there was much chatting and laughter.
“Together with our residents, they planted sunflowers seeds and talked about the flowers and plants.
“This was followed by our young friends enjoying some tea time treats.
“They were a breath of fresh air, our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them, they are welcome back any time.”
