Plans for private pregnancy scan business to open in Solihull handed to council

Solihull Editorial 30th Jul, 2019   0

A CLINIC offering private scans to pregnant woman could open in Solihull.

A planning application has been submitted to Solihull Council looking to convert 5 Oxhill Road, in Solihull Lodge to an antenatal business.

If approved, Hey Baby will offer ultrasound scans to expectant parents, with the option for families to buy video of the unborn baby.

Documents submitted alongside the application say it would bring three jobs to the area.

All mums-to-be are offered at least two ultrasounds on the NHS as part of the schedule of antenatal appointments.

In some cases, families want extra reassurance that all is well, while others are keen to get more pictures of their baby.

The planning application will be considered by Solihull Council in the coming months.
