Sarah Mason 10th Dec, 2021

A PIANIST hit the right notes in her latest music exams.

Solihull School pupil Yichen Pan has been awarded a level four diploma in Music Performance for piano at the age of just 13.

Yichen, who is now 14, took the Trinity College ATCL examination in June but only recently received her certificate due to pandemic delays.

In addition to her outstanding piano skills, Music scholar Yichen is also a post grade eight cellist.

Hanlie Martens, head of keyboard at Solihull School said: “Yichen is an absolute pleasure to teach and I am delighted that her hard work has enabled her to achieve this wonderful result.

“She is a young musician with a very bright future ahead of her.”
