Pensioner seriously injured following Shirley crash

A PENSIONER was left with head injuries after following a crash in Shirley.

The 81-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in the collision which happened in Stratford Road, near to the junction with Stanway Road in Shirley, at around 6.45pm on Saturday (November 16).

West Midlands Police said the man remains in a serious condition.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers with the investigation.




Sergeant Alan Hands, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the process of establishing the circumstances around the collision and would ask anyone with information which may assist us to come forward.”
