CYCLISTS are being called on explore Birmingham’s historic canal network and raise funds for a homeless charity.
The St Basils Birmingham Canal Ring cycling event will see participants take on a 36-mile route.
Scheduled for May 13 this event aims to raise funds for St Basils charity, which provides vital support to young homeless people in the Midlands.
Steve Rainbow events manager for St Basils said: “If you’re looking for an adventure that combines history, exercise, and a good cause, the Birmingham Canal Ring cycling event is the perfect choice.
“This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our partners, the Canal and River Trust.
“By participating, you’ll be helping St Basils provide support and accommodation to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.”
Those who complete the course in six hours will receive a limited-edition medal of honour as a symbol of their achievement.
