PARKING restrictions across residential areas in Solihull will be suspended over the festive period.
Solihull Council said parking enforcement is suspended from 7am on Monday, December 22, until 7am on January 2, when enforcement will resume as normal.
Parking relaxation applies to roads subject to single yellow line restrictions only.
The council said people should continue to park considerately and safely and continue to comply with the Highway Code.
Councillor Ken Hawkins, cabinet member for Environment and Infrastructure, said: “We recognise Christmas and New Year is a time when many people in Solihull will be visiting friends and family and enjoying the festivities.
“That’s why we are suspending parking enforcement in residential areas over this period to give local people peace of mind.
“Of course, please continue to park considerately so that everyone can have a safe and happy time over the festive season.”
