SHIRLEY and Knowle residents are being called on to have say on plans for new residential developments and a new primary school.
Taylor Wimpey has launched an online public consultations for two potential sites later this month, ahead of the submission of reserved matters planning applications to Solihull Council this spring.
The Knowle proposal is for up to 200 new one to five-bedroom homes on land at Landsdowne, off Warwick Road.
The house builder says of these, just under 40 per cent will be provided as affordable housing.
Plans for the development also include areas of public green space and new play areas.
The site, which is part of the wider Arden Triangle scheme, already benefits from outline planning permission which was granted by the Council.
The Shirley proposal is for up to 700 new two to five-bedroom homes on land south of Dog Kennel Lane.
Again 40 per cent will be allocated as affordable housing.
Plans for the new development also include 20 self-build plots, areas of green space and new community facilities including a primary school, an older care living facility and a community centre.
Edward Elliman, land and planning director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “It is important to us to gather the views of the local community as we finalise our proposals for these new communities in Knowle and Shirley.
“We are keen to hear what local residents think of our current proposals, and all feedback we receive will be considered before we submit our planning applications to the council later in the spring.”
