AN OLTON primary school has joined an academy trust.

Kineton Green Primary School became part of Summit Learning Trust on March 1.

The Kineton Green Road School, which has 224 pupils on its roll from three to 11 years old, joins the Trust’s four primary schools, three secondary schools and sixth form college across the West Midlands.

Terri Mason, headteacher at Kineton Green Primary School, said: “This is an exciting time in the journey of Kineton Green Primary and I am looking forward to what the future will bring for our families as part of Summit Learning Trust.”

Vince Green, chief executive at Summit Learning Trust, said: “On behalf of everyone at Summit Learning Trust, I am delighted to welcome the children, parents, carers, staff members and governors of Kineton Green Primary School to our Summit family.

“As we continue to get to know one another over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to them seeing we are a trust which is relentless in its ambition for all the children and young people in our care, and that we strive to give all learners as many life choices as possible.

“Rated Ofsted Good, in common with all other Summit academies, I know Kineton Green shares this ethos and I believe it will be a great fit and excellent new member of our Summit family.”
