Olton and District U3A reaches milestone membership

THE OLTON and District University of the 3rd Age has gained full membership status – just six months after launching.

The U3A branch has successfully gained membership status in the National University of the 3rd Age and seen membership rocket from just 60 members to 100 since launching in April last year.

The branch which meets at either United Reformed Church in Kineton Green Road or Olton Friary in St Bernards Road received their certificate of full membership from Tony Randall, West Midlands U3A Regional Trustee at the same meeting it inducted its 100th member.

Jo Robinson, Chair, said: “It is the commitment of members and committee that has made this a very successful, happy, and friendly group.




“Members who have joined are not only from Olton but also from other areas including Yardley, Hall Green, Sheldon and Acocks Green which proves how wide the net has spread.
