OFFICE Outlet in Shirley has escaped the list of stores to be axed.
The stationery giant, which has 90 stores in the UK, went into administration last month, putting 1,200 jobs at risk.
But the retail park store will not be among the 16 set to close.
The nearby Stratford branch will face the axe just two months after opening.
The struggling chain, previously part of the Staples brand, is looking for a buyer for the remaining stores.
Joint administrator Richard Hawes said they would be keep remaining staff informed of further developments during the ‘difficult time’.
