HEARING Dogs for Deaf People is set to receive a donation after being chosen by Castle Bromwich residents as their worthiest cause.

Jack’s supermarket, part of the Tesco family, launched its Jack’s Supports scheme to donate proceeds from the sale of carrier bags to local good causes voted for by its customers.

For the past three months shoppers at Jack’s Castle Bromwich have been voting for four worthy causes including: AEDdonate, Aylesford Hall and John Taylor Hospice with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People securing the donation.

All four charities received £250 for taking part, and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People were given an additional £500 following the round of voting.

Vicky Ryan from Hearing Dogs for Deaf People said: “We are really grateful to be receiving £750 from the Jack’s Castle Bromwich store.

“The funding will be used to provide vital support for the two local partnerships for three months.”

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People supports two hearing dog partnerships in the area who benefit from the charity’s work supporting deaf people.
