SOLIHULL council has decided that there will be no blanket closure of council-run schools tomorrow.
After discussions with headteachers and colleagues in highways, the council is not issuing a borough-wide closure of Council-run schools for Tuesday December 12.
The council says each school will have to make their own decision about whether to open or not, based on local conditions and the safety of children and young people.
Schools and other educational settings will be making a full assessment of their particular circumstance before reaching a final decision, say representatives.
It has been suggested that parents and carers should check their school websites, social media feeds and listen out to local radio for updates on whether their school is open or not.
