AN NHS worker is warming up ready to take on the 2025 TCS London Marathon.
Jake Hayden-Wright will be taking on the 26.2mile course in aid of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) Charity.
The property and land manager at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham (QE), has been inspired to run the marathon to help fund projects that benefit patients undergoing or recovering from treatment at the hospital as well as supporting their families.
Jake said: “I’m really proud to be doing the London Marathon. I think that QEHB Charity should be celebrated and supported for all the good that it does for patients and their families.
“I took on this challenge primarily because I want to set a good example to my two girls and show them that they can do anything that they set their mind to. I want them to grow up confident and strong women, not afraid to throw themselves into a challenge if they need or want to.
“My hope is that by taking on this challenge I set that example.”
