Officers delivering Easter donations to Birmingham Children’s Hospital

KIND-hearted Birmingham police officers and staff have taken the time to donate Easter gifts and essential items to patients at the city’s Children’s Hospital.

The visit saw officers distributing Easter eggs, generously donated by the Birmingham Offender Management Team, as well as toys and new clothing – provided to support families during what can often be a challenging and stressful time.

The toys were kindly donated by members of the local community.

The clothing meanwhile was sourced from our property stores, and included some repurposed items which had been seized as part of shop theft investigations.

West Midlands team including Engagement and Consultation Officer Georgina Johnstone, and Birmingham PC Maja Nalewajek, spent some time at the hospital engaging with children, families, and hospital staff, helping to spread some Easter cheer.

Sgt Olivia Reilly, from Birmingham Partnerships, said: “We’re always pleased to be able to support patients and families at the Children’s Hospital, especially over Easter.“Small acts of kindness from our teams and the local community can really make a difference to those going through a tough time.

“Partnership working, bringing our officers, staff, and community members together with local organisations, is key to making a difference to those who need it most.”
