AFTER more than two decades of serving the Solihull community with outstanding Audiology care, Specsavers is proud to announce the launch of a brand new, refurbed Hearing Centre.
This marks a significant expansion in its mission to provide comprehensive health services under one roof.
Officially opened on August 15, the new facility is the culmination of years of planning and dedication by long-standing store director, Nilam Yaqoob, who has been at the helm of Specsavers Solihull for over 13 years.
Well respected
During that time, she has become a well-respected figure in the local business and health communities, and her latest achievement is yet another testament to her passion for accessible, quality care.
Located in the heart of the town, the new Hearing Centre offers state-of-the-art hearing checks, earwax removal services, hearing device fittings, and aftercare – all within the same familiar setting that thousands of local residents already trust for their hear care needs.
Speaking about the expansion, Nilam said: “I’m incredibly proud to see this vision come to life. We’ve always aimed to deliver a complete healthcare experience, and adding a full-service Hearing Centre means we can now support our customers even more comprehensively.
“It wouldn’t be possible without the commitment and care of our amazing team. Everyone here is passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives through improved better hearing.”
Appointments at the new Hearing Centre are already available, and the service is open to everyone – whether existing Specsavers customers or new to the brand. The aim, says Nilam, is to remove the barriers to hearing care and ensure that Solihull residents have fast, local access to the services they need.
Amount affected
With hearing loss affecting one in six adults in the UK and often going undiagnosed for years, the new facility is a timely and much-needed addition to Solihull’s healthcare offerings. Specsavers’ audiology services are delivered by fully qualified hearing care professionals, using the latest diagnostic technology to ensure accurate assessments and personalised care plans.
But it’s not just about healthcare at Specsavers Solihull. Under Nilam’s leadership, the store continues to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
This year, the team has chosen to support breast cancer charities as their local cause. Through a combination of in-store fundraising events, customer donations, and staff initiatives, they have already raised an impressive £850 – and are determined to push that figure even higher in the coming months.
Nilam added: “Breast cancer touches so many lives – whether directly or through someone we know
“Supporting this cause is deeply personal to many of us here, and we’re so grateful to our customers for getting behind it.”
With its reputation for professional excellence and its renewed commitment to holistic care, Specsavers Solihull Hearing continues to cement its place as a cornerstone of the town’s health and wellbeing community. The addition of the Hearing Centre not only enhances the services on offer but also reflects a forward-thinking approach that puts customers first.
As the team looks ahead to even more developments and community engagement, one thing is clear – Nilam and her team are not just looking after Solihull’s hearing; they’re listening, responding, and leading with heart.
Appointments for hearing services can now be booked online or by calling the Solihull Hearing store directly.
Whether it’s for a routine check or something more urgent, the new Hearing Centre is ready to welcome patients with the same friendly, expert care that Specsavers Solihull has built its name on for the past 23 years.
