A PORTAL has been launched for patients at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) to access information about their care.
The BSMHFT Patient Portal is separate from the NHS App and provides access to letters from care teams, care plans and appointment details, helping patients and service users stay informed and involved in their care.
Health bosses say it has been co‑produced with Experts by Experience to make sure it meets the needs of people using Trust services and can be accessed on smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. Service users sign in securely using their NHS login.
Carl Beet, director of digital services/chief information officer at BSMHFT, said: “The Patient Portal is a real step forward in giving people across Birmingham and Solihull more control and visibility of their care. Our aim is to make sure everyone who can benefit from this tool knows about it and can use it easily and securely.”
