New multi-academy trust launches in Solihull

SOLIHULL schools have joined forces to form a new Multi-Academy Trust.

Collaborative Education Trust has brought together Haslucks Green, Langley, Coleshill Heath and Oak Cottage schools.

The schools have created a group that is united by a shared belief in collaboration to best meet the needs of the children in their communities.

The trust says families will not notice an immediate difference in the day to day running of the schools but leaders, governors and staff have already been working together to share good practice, learn from each other and importantly, to create opportunities for pupils to work and learn with each other.

Jayne Hodgkiss, chair of trustees at the newly formed Collaborative Education Trust, said: “We are really excited that we are able to launch the Trust which has been part of the schools’ vision for some time.

“We have created an impressive Trust Board, made up of talented Trustees, in order for the four strong schools to go from strength to strength and we hope to welcome other, similar-minded schools to join our collaborative community in the future.

“Our children are already getting so much out of working together and they have recently performed in a huge collaborative event as well as benefitting from Music and Modern Languages teaching across the schools.

“Very quickly, we want parents and carers, staff, governors and especially the children in our care to feel proud of belonging to the Collaborative Education Trust.”
