GREATER Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) has a new acting chief executive.
Henriette Breukelaar (pictured) is set to take over the reins from Katie Trout who will take over the role of director of policy and partnerships at West Midlands Growth Company.
Henriette is currently director of economic strategy at GBSLEP and has held senior positions in regional economic development in the West Midlands for over 20 years.
She said: “I am honoured and excited to take on the role of acting chief executive at this critical time.
“Following the publication of the Levelling Up White Paper, the government has asked LEPs to integrate with combined authorities.
“This will involve negotiation and collaboration with our partners and with Mayor Andy Street and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
“Whilst we are working out the details of this, GBSLEP is committed to delivering on our plan for 2022-23 which drives inclusive and green growth across our city-region”
