A FESTIVE musical has returned to The Rep after touring the UK and playing on London’s West End.
Since it’s premiere in 2017 Nativity! The Musical has performed to audiences across the country and will be at the Birmingham theatre until January 7.
Based on the film the show tells the tale of a Coventry school’s, St Bernadette’s, attempt to create a musical version of the Christmas story which teacher Mr Maddens says will be watched by a Hollywood producer.
Ben Lancaster plays the role of Mr Poppy alongside Billy Roberts as Mr Maddens, Daisy Steere as Jennifer, Matthew Rowland as Mr Shakespeare and Cameron Johnson as the Hollywood Producer.
They are joined by Ralph Bogard as Lord Mayor, Jamie Chapman as Patrick Burns, Jemma Churchill as Mrs Bevan, Tom Hext as Mr Ryeand Eliza Waters as TJ’s Mum/swing. Sydney Isitt-Ager, Callum Train, and Louie Wood are on-stage swings.
The cast also includes 54 children handpicked from Birmingham and the West Midlands.
