A MURDER suspect has been charged in connection with the death of Kerry Woolley in Solihull at the weekend.
Ian Bennett, 37, from Moordown Avenue in Solihull has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (July 16).
Bennett’s mother, Lynda Bennett, 62 from Moordown Avenue in Solihull, has been charged with perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender. She will also appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.
Kerry Woolley, 38, was found with fatal injuries to her neck at her flat in Warwick Road at around 3:20pm on Sunday (July 12).
Her family said: “We would like to thank everyone for the support and lovely messages we have received over the last few days.
“We are devastated and shocked by what has happened to our beautiful Kerry.
“Our priority now is her beautiful children, that have been left without their mom. Thank you again.”
Detective Inspector Nick Barnes from West Midlands Police homicide team said: “My thoughts remain with Kerry’s family who are devastated by their loss.
“Our investigations are continuing and I’d urge anyone who may have any information to contact us as soon as possible.”
