A MURDER investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed in Marston Green.
West Midlands Police said it was called to Station Road in Marston Green, Solihull at around 6.20pm on Tuesday (October 29).
A 17-year-old boy was treated for his injuries by the ambulance service, but despite their efforts he sadly died and a murder investigation has now been launched.
Officers have arrested a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Supt Wayne Carter, of Solihull Police, said: “We know people will understandably be concerned and we will be in the area conducting enquiries throughout the day.
“We will have extra officers in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any information, or concerns, to get in touch.”
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and making enquires and are appealing to any witnesses to contact them on 101 and quoting log 4239 of October 29.
