Police have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder after a man was found with stab wounds in his car in the early hours of this morning.
Ambulance colleagues were called to Alder Drive around 1.00am but despite their best efforts the 65-year-old local man died in hospital a short while later.
The 35-year-old woman was arrested a short while later and remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster said: “The victim was able to raise the alarm but sadly died a short while later.
“We are now appealing for anyone who was in the area in the early hours of this morning to contact us so that we can establish what has led to this incident.
“The scene has been cordoned off and the car is being forensically examined.”
