Moors fans called to help raise funds for sick children

FUNDRAISERS are being called on to join Team Acorns at a charity matchday with Solihull Moors next month.

Volunteers will be at Damson Park collecting donations for Acorns Children’s Hospice, which has been chosen as the official charity for the Moors clash against Oldham Athletic on December 16.

Jo Thomas, area fundraiser for Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “This Christmas, give the gift of time to Acorns and help us continue our lifeline care for local families by joining our first-ever charity matchday at Solihull Moors.

“We’re going to put the fun into fundraising with lots of exciting ways to make a donation as well as good old bucket collections.

“We need more Volunteers to lend a hand to help us raise as much money as possible on the day.”

Acorns supports over 300 children with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families each year.

All volunteers joining the event will also get the chance to watch the match.
