SOLIHULL nightclub Missoula and Luna is set to close its doors after one last party later this month.
The bar, which has been on High Street for more than 100 years, will bow out after a Billy Bone tribute act has taken to the stage at a charity gig for Mind on March 18.
Bosses at Missoula and Luna in the town have announced online that the place is to close.
A message from the club’s Facebook account read: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will be closing our doors for good.
“Come and celebrate over 100 years of history, countless renames, misbehaving, dancing and the rest.
“Please come and party with us, eat with us and have fun with us.
“Thank you for all your custom, loyalty & support over the years.
“We love you.
“Team Missoula xx”
The shock announcement has taken clubbers in the town by surprise.
Bosses are promising three weekends of “fantastic line up to say goodbye in style.”
There will be events this weekend (Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3), on March 9 and the final farewell from March 16 to 18.
Clubbers took to Facebook to express their sadness and shock.
Ian Nagle comments: “Loved this place as Rosie’s.”
Sean Kenny said: “Wow spent a lot of my DJ days here. Will be the end of and era.”
Emma Sullivan wrote: “End of a Rosies era. Loved working here back in the 90s.”
