Mini Myths proving a major hit for first time local author Tara

NEW author Tara Thorpe is celebrating after seeing her first book roll off the presses.

Her children’s book, Mini Myths, was snapped up by Olympia Publishers and is already selling well.

Packed full of illustrations, it re-tells four of the oldest and well-known myths from Ancient Greece in a manner which is exciting and digestible for children.

As well as being entertaining tales, the myths are designed to subtly teach children, as they contain important morals and teachings which are as relevant now as they were thousands of years ago.

“I’d had the idea for quite a while and lockdown seemed like a good time to put pen to paper,” said Tara, from Ullenhall.

“I wasn’t sure if it was going to be picked up or not by a publisher but in the end I had quite a few make offers.”

Mini Myths is available as a book or as an ebook at £4.99 from Olympia Publishers at https://olympiapublishers.com/ or order from the local branch of Waterstones.
