THE MP for Meriden has teamed up with the Colebridge Trust to launch an initiative to give vulnerable people a winter hamper containing items such as socks and gloves.
After calling on Solihull residents to create winter hampers of essential items, Saqib Bhatti received an incredible response.
Mr Bhatti also worked in collaboration with the Solihull Round Table on donations to the Colebridge Trust, with the group securing hundreds of items of thermal clothing.
He said: “Colebridge Trust is a fantastic charity who do excellent work in supporting the most vulnerable in society and I was delighted to team up with them on the Christmas Hamper initiative.
“Thanks to the residents, we secured a large number of donations for the appeal, with a special thanks to the Solihull Round Table for their donations of hundreds of items of thermal clothing.
“The generosity shown during this hamper collection will go a long way in helping those most in need this winter.”
