BUDDING politicians can can have the chance to find out what life is really like following the launch of an internship programme.
Meriden MP, Saqib Bhatti s giving students who go to school or live in his constituency the opportunity to work with him for a week this summer.
The Summer Internship Programme will allow future politicians the chance to travel to Westminster and experience the day to day life of being a Member of Parliament.
Mr Bhatti said: “There are so many talented individuals in the Meriden Constituency and that is why I cannot wait to run this programme and see all of the wonderful applications.
“I feel so proud to represent Meriden and I am looking forward to working with the students chosen.
“I am looking for hard-working individuals who have bags of enthusiasm and an interest in politics.”
Applicants must be 16 or over and should send their CV and a cover letter explaining why they would like to be chosen for the programme to [email protected].
Shortlisted individuals will then be invited to interview with the top candidates chosen to take part in the programme.
