ADOPTIVE children and parents being cared for by a Solihull-based agency are in safe hands after it received its fifth consecutive Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Adoption Focus in Marston Green was commended by the educational regulator for the range of training and workshops on offer to adoptive parents at all stages of the process.
The agency was also give the top standard rating at its 2013, 2010, 2018 and 2021 inspections.
The education watchdog also praised for how children are actively listened to and supported to share their thoughts and feelings.
It highlighted sessions where children were encouraged to ‘creatively contribute through their pictures and Inspection report for voluntary adoption agency – Adoption Focus 4 art’ which formed a life story book for children to keep.
The report released by Ofsted said from January 2024 to the date of the inspection, which was carried out from June 24 to 28 Adoption Focus had placed 26 children with 20 families.
It also added that managers understand their safeguarding responsibilities and have systems in place that enable them to provide strong oversight and any emerging
concerns are quickly identified and reported to statutory agencies.
