MARKS & Spencer has today, Wednesday, June 2, opened its newest store in Solihull, at the Sears Retail Park.
Opening just in time for summer, the new 65,000 sqft store has a new marketplace-feel foodhall, extensive clothing and home departments, and a 126-seat M&S café.
To celebrate, M&S Sears Solihull has upped the rewards in its Sparks loyalty scheme, with one very lucky Sparks shopper being treated to a free shop on every day of opening week.
A recipient will be chosen at random and whatever is in their trolley will be complimentary.
The store is home to the first-ever, new look M&S café complete with especially trained baristas.
New inter-active elements, such as a talking Percy Pig and ‘moo-ing’ dairy cows, have been added to aisles throughout the foodhall, promising to keep kids entertained during the weekly shop.
There is also a ‘fill your own’ section to reduce packaging and allow customers to purchase just what they need.
In the new clothing and home department, customers will be able to browse the latest clothing collections for some summer inspiration, across menswear, kidswear and womenswear.
Located in Sears Retail Park, the 250-strong store team is led by store manager, Naomi Hartley, who has worked for M&S for 15 years.
She said: “We’re delighted to open our new store at the Sears Retail Park today.
“The store is an exciting investment in the future of M&S in Solihull and I can’t wait for our customers to explore all the new features for themselves.”
Alongside the in-store offering, M&S Sears Solihull will also offer the full range of M&S clothing and home products via its click and collect service.
The development also features 425 free car parking spaces and is open Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm.
