CELEBRATIONS were in order at a Solihull opticians to mark and employees 25 years of service.
Sue Walker, who began her career working at Specsavers on Saturdays, has worked her way up through the ranks and is now store manager at the High Street store.
She said: “It feels like yesterday since I was starting my career working weekends – it has really flown.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people in that time and experienced so many great things.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings – if it’s as enjoyable as the past quarter-century I’m ready to embrace it with open arms.”
Rehan Bhatti, Specsavers Solihull store director, said: “We are delighted to be able to celebrate Sue, honour this significant milestone and say a huge thank you for all she does for our customers, our people and our business.
“She is an absolute star and has really helped make Specsavers Solihull what it is today, an incredible manager and is loved by all.
