Marie Curie Hospice thanks nurses for hard work and dedication

Solihull Editorial 18th May, 2021   0

NURSES at Solihull’s Marie Curie hospice were thanked and celebrated for all their hard work and dedication.

To mark International Nurses Day staff at the Marsh Lane hospice baked cakes and handed out gifts for the nurses and healthcare assistants.

Angela Allsop, the hospice’s lead nurse, said: “We are so proud to join the nation in celebrating National Nurses Day.

“Marie Curie Nurses work on the front line, in our hospices and in people’s homes providing hands-on care and vital emotional support for people living with a terminal illness.

“This year, nursing through the pandemic has been particularly challenging for everyone, but our nurse training, dedication, and vocation has driven us through and given us courage in delivering nursing care to our patients, to which we are proud and continue to do.”

The nurses were given plants donated by Melbicks Garden Centre, Morrisons Solihull and Waitrose and Partners Solihull and were each presented with a certificate as a thank you for all of their hard work.
