MARIE Curie fundraisers took their hats off to Ferndown Estates when they handed over £7,500.
The Marston Green estate agents raised the money by donating £50 for every house they sold last year and £25 for every new letting they managed.
The staff also sent out Marie Curie’s home collection boxes, a cardboard money box, to their clients which raised £1,000.
Ian Crampton, Sales Director for Ferndown Estates said: “We felt it was important to support a charity on our doorstep which provides such a wonderful facility to so many people.”
Ferndown Estates were supported by the local Marie Curie Marston Green Fundraising Group throughout their fundraising. Their donations have helped the Fundraising Group hit their £100,000 fundraising mark in just five years.
Ian Fletcher, Chair of the Marston Green Fundraising Group said: “We are delighted and overwhelmed by the generosity of Ferndown and it typifies local support we’ve had from the community enabling our fundraising ventures to be so successful.”
The team at Ferndown have now decided to raise another £271 to pay for a day’s care at the West Midlands Hospice.
