Man remanded in custody after Solihull town centre bottle attack

A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody after a bottle attack in Solihull town centre left two injured.

Police were called to Poplar Road just after 3am on Monday (August 16) morning to reports that two men had been injured after being attacked with a bottle.

Solihull Police tweeted: “A 25-year-old was taken to hospital with neck and arm wounds and a 35-year-old – who is understood to have tried to intervene – had an elbow injury.

“Neither man sustained life-threatening or changing injuries.”




Lewis Jones, from Solihull, was charged with wounding with intent and attempted wounding with intent.

He appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday (August 17) and was remanded until September 14.
