Man in court after police officer allegedly injured in Solihull

A MAN has been charged with multiple counts of assault after a police officer was allegedly injured in Solihull.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged after a police officer was injured at 11.30am (Monday, April 1) while attending a disorder on Masons Way, Olton.

“Anthony Dunleavy, aged 27, of Shadwell Street in Birmingham is charged with five counts of assault by beating, an assault causing actual bodily harm and threats to damage property.”

He has been bailed and is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on April 30.
