A STAFFORDSHIRE man has been fined after being fined after flytipping near Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens.
Daniel Bagley of Main Road in Tamworth, was sentenced at Birmingham Magistrates Court after pleading guilty following an investigation by Solihull Council’s Regulatory Services.
The 27-year-old has been ordered to pay a fine of £1169, as well as £400 in compensation.
This was after an incident in when fly tipping occurred on Chester Road in Castle Bromwich, near to Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens.
The Council said Bagley had arranged to collect waste from another householder through his waste removal company Dbaggerz, with the waste consisting of domestic household waste including cardboard boxes, toys, a stair gate and children’s clothing.
Documents related to an address in Birmingham were found within the waste, which located the householder who had arranged for Bagley to collect and dispose of the waste.
A Solihull Council spokesperson said: “Solihull Council is committed to prosecuting anti-social crime such as fly-tipping to the fullest extent.
“Keeping our streets clean has and continues to be a priority, to make Solihull a safe and pleasant area for people to live and work in.
“We’re pleased that this fine has been issued and that fly-tipping cases are taken seriously.
“If residents witness fly-tipping, we would urge them to report it via the council’s website.”
