A MAN has been sent to Queen Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a heavy goods vehicle earlier today.
West Midlands Fire Service were called to scene on Cole Hall Lane in Shard End at 1.15pm.
Two fire crews were sent to extricate the man trapped inside the car using a mixture of cutting equipment.
West Midlands Police and Air Ambulance were also in attendance.
