A MAN has been charged over five burglaries across Solihull and Birmingham.

Barrie Deacon is accused of being involved in the burglaries, which took place at a number of businesses between July 2023 and January 2024.

The 44-year-old, of Lea Hall Road, Birmingham, was arrested on 27 February and remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on February.

West Midlands Police said: “We know these offences are worrying for the community and that burglaries have a massive impact on the people and families affected.

“We investigate any evidence we receive and our neighbourhood officers regularly carry out reassurance patrols in areas where burglaries are reported.”

Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call 999 – and if anyone believes they know who may be involved in these offences call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
