Man charged with murder in connection with death of man in Castle Bromwich

A SECOND person has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man in Castle Bromwich.

Leighton Williams, aged 28 from North Roundhay in Stechford, was arrested on April 18 and was due to appear before Birmingham magistrates on April 24.

A murder investigation was launched following the death of 50-year-old Kelvin Ward on Chester Road on April 18.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was also charged with murder and violent disorder yesterday and was due in court on April 24.




West Midlands Police continue to appeal for anyone with information which could assist its investigation to come forward.
