A MAN has been charged after two people, including a police officer, were injured in Shard End.
West Midlands Police say a man in his 50s was taken to hospital with a head injury following the assault on Tile Cross Road on May 24, and a police officer treated for a hand injury.
A 24-year-old man appeared in court after being charged with grievous bodily harm, assault on an emergency worker and possession of a Class A drug.
He was remanded into custody for trial at Birmingham Crown Court on June 23.
