A MAN has been arrested after several cars were broken into in Dorridge.
Officers were carrying out an area search on May 20 when they spotted the suspect acting suspiciously on Widney Road in Bentley Heath.
The 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle.
West Midlands Police say a bicycle with a bag full of items suspected to have been stolen from cars was also found nearby.
Detective Inspector Mark Heard, who leads the Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “We know that vehicle crime in particular is an issue that matters most to the community and we are doing everything we can to tackle this issue.
“The Neighbourhood Crime Team are committed to reducing vehicle crime in Solihull.
“We received calls from the public with information that led to a suspect being arrested.
