A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a disorder in Shard End.

West Midlands Police said on May 27 a 27-year-old man was found outside a shop with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he remains.

Officers arrested the 22-year-old man yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm following a search at his home address, where a live firearm was found along with ammunition.

Det Insp Tom Lyons, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “We are continuing our investigation to establish the details around what happened.

“CCTV enquiries are ongoing and we are speaking with a number of witnesses.

“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.

“We will have extra officers in the area to offer reassurance to the community.”

Anyone with information should contact police via Live Chat on the force’s website or call 101 and quote log 3655 of May 27.
