A MAN has been arrested after part of the M42 was closed.
West Midlands Police said the 52-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of two racially aggravated public order offences, affecting public infrastructure, causing a public nuisance, criminal damage and failing to appear at court.
A stretch of the motorway between junction 4 for Shirley and junction 5 for Solihull was closed for several hours on July 10.
It led to three miles of tailbacks and delays of more than an hour for drivers.
