A MAN has appeared at Birmingham Crown Court charged with the murder of a mother and daughter who were stabbed in Solihull in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday (August 27).

Raneem Oudeh, 22, who had a two-year-old son, and her mother Khaola Saleem, 49 were found with multiple stab wounds around 12.30am on Northdown Road.

Janbaz Tarin, aged 21 of Stonebridge Crescent, Kingshurst appeared at Birmingham Magistrates court on September 1 to face charges for the murder of Miss Oudeh and Ms Saleem.

He then appeared in court on Tuesday (September 4) for a hearing.

Tarin will next appear in court on October 30 and a trial has been provisionally fixed for March 4 next year.

A forensic post mortem examination concluded that Raneem and her mother died from multiple stab wounds.
