INTERNATIONAL class bowlers arrived in Solihull last week when the Malaysia national team visited Solihull Indoor Bowls Club once more.
The team were back following their session in the autumn to take on the Solihull team in a friendly match ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games trials.
Becky Gould, acting Solihull Indoor Bowls Club manager, said: “Having played a friendly match against them last autumn we were excited to be able to have a rematch against them.
“Our members were pleased to spend an afternoon with the team, not only playing bowls together but also having the opportunity to sit down and enjoy getting to know each other over tea and biscuits afterwards.
“Our bowlers appreciated and benefitted from the experience of being able to play against bowlers of the highest standard.
“As expected the Malaysian Bowls Team won most of the games. However, we were proud to say that Solihull Indoor Bowls Club had one winning rink.”
