Make hampers for adults this Christmas

Solihull Editorial 27th Nov, 2022   0

KIND-HEARTED Silhillians are being called on to create a Christmas hamper for adults.

Meriden MP, Saqib Bhatti, has teamed up with the Colebridge Trust to give those who are most vulnerable a present this festive season.

Hampers can include socks, gloves, hats, hot water bottles, thermos flask and selection boxes.

Mr Bhatti said: “Christmas is all about togetherness and thinking about others. This is an excellent project that will give people something to look forward to opening on Christmas morning. Please do get involved if you are able to.”

Gemma Ashington, community projects manager, at the Colebridge Trust said:

“We started this scheme so that these people feel valued, especially when they are likely to wake up without a present on Christmas Day.

“Often, just knowing that their community care can be the catalyst for people reaching out for more help.

The hampers can be dropped off from Monday to Friday at Mr Bhatti’s office at 631 Warwick Road, B91 1AR by appointment or directly to the Colebridge Trust at Junction, 100 Chapelhouse Road, B37 5HA between 8:30am and 4:30pm.

Hampers should be droped off your hampers by December 16.
