Made in Dagenham set to take centre stage at The Core after two year wait

Solihull Editorial 5th Jun, 2022   0

THE FIGHT for equal pay is set to hit The Core after a two-year long wait.

Queensbridge Musical Theatre Society will finally be staging Made in Dagenham on the Solihull stage following set backs due to Covid restrictions.

The musical is based on the 2010 film that tells the true story of the 1968 sewing machinists’ strike at the Ford factory in Dagenham, Essex to Solihull.

From June 14 to 18 the story of the women who played a massive part in triggering the Equal Pay Act of 1970 will unfold.

Anna Beesley wholly embraces the lead role of the formidable yet sensitive Rita O’Grady alongside her troubled but devoted husband, Eddie, played by Ed Blann.
