LOVED up couples at a Solihull care home were treated to a special Valentine’s meal.
Second World War Navy veteran Harry, 98, and his wife Sue, 96, exchanged cards and gifts during their meal at the Royal Star and Garter.
The couple met on a rambling weekend and have been married for 72 years.
On the day, they enjoyed a lunch together and exchanged cards and gifts arranged by staff.
There was also a Valentine’s lunch for all residents in the dining area, which had been decorated with hearts and bunting.
The residents at the Tudor Coppice Home, which cares for veterans and their loved ones with dementia and disability also made Valentine’s gifts to share with their loved ones.
