LOVE IS in the air as couples and residents at the Royal Star and Garter celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Staff at the Tudor Coppice care home, which looks after veterans and their loved ones with dementia or disability, are preparing extra special treats for the married couples it cares for.
Resident Ann will welcome her husband Ray into the Home for a delicious Valentine’s lunch cooked by the in-house catering team.
Ray comes to the home daily with his dog Mallory, to see Ann, who he wed in 1960.
In the lead up to the special day residents have made cards during arts and crafts sessions, and heart-shaped biscuits in cookery activities.
Lillian, a resident at the Solihull Home, said: “It’s nice to be with my friends here on Valentine’s Day, and with the staff who do so much each day to keep us happy and involved.”
